Bro. Samuel Barton 

A silkweaver from Much Park Street Ward, he was admitted to the freemanship in 1770. Masonic records describe him as a ribbon weaver, but later as a victualler. He became landlord of the Salutation Inn in Much Park Street where the Royal Cumberland Chapter met between 1801 and 1806.
