Join?<\/h3><p>Trinity Lodge welcomes membership enquiries but it is important that you appreciate what will be required of you, so that you can appreciate the value of Freemasonry to modern society, and the role that it can play in your own self-improvement. A lot of this is summed up in Freemasonry&#8217;s Guiding Principles.<\/p><p>In the first instance it is suggested that you visit the section &#8216;Freemasonry&#8217; and if after visiting and exploring our site and maybe reading other articles you are further interested in becoming a Freemason, we suggest you first talk to a friend, colleague or\u00a0<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">family member<\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">\u00a0whom you already know to be a Freemason; they will be able to help you learn more.<\/span><\/p><p>If you don&#8217;t know anyone who is already a Freemason, then get in touch with\u00a0 us at Trinity Lodge. You will need to explain a little bit about yourself and your reasons for wishing to join. Arrangements will be made to meet you socially to find out more about you, and to give you a chance to find out more about us. You would then in due course be invited to meet more of our lodge members, prior to being balloted for membership of the Lodge.\u00a0<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-size: 1rem;\">All being well, a date would then be fixed for your admission.<\/span><\/p><h3>Who Can Be A Freemason?<\/h3><p>Anyone is eligible to become a Freemason as long as they are at least 18 years old, are law-abiding, of good character and believe in the existence of a Supreme Being, regardless of what faith the person professes. Trinity Lodge is a part of the United Grand Lodge of England, which is a male-only Grand Lodge. There are two Grand Lodges for Women Freemasons in England, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.owf.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Order of Women Freemason<\/a>s and the <a href=\"https:\/\/hfaf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons (Freemasonry for Women)<\/a>.
