Welcome

We hope you find this website useful to understand Freemasonry in general, Trinity Lodge no 254 in particular and also the manner in which our lodge and its members serve the wider community in Coventry (England).

Our lodge is one of the oldest in Warwickshire, having first received its warrant of constitution in 1755. It has met continuously from then to the present day –  in a few years’ time, we will celebrate our 275th anniversary!  Trinity Lodge no 254  meets at Coventry Masonic Hall eight times a year on the first Thursday of each month, from October to May inclusive.

The lodge has a fascinating history and some unique historical artifacts. When compared to other lodges, we have a slightly different way of doing things because of our unbroken traditions and long history. Learn more in the following pages!

What is Freemasonry?

Freemasonry is one of the oldest social and charitable organisations in the world, open to people of all backgrounds. Its roots lie in the traditions of the mediaeval stonemasons who built our cathedrals and castles.

Freemasonry expects a high standard of personal conduct from its members and promotes Integrity, Friendship, Respect and Service. Freemasonry’s aim is to help members to be the best they can be, both for themselves and for society around them. There is an emphasis on care and concern for each other, our family and the wider community. These principles are reinforced when they are acted out in the ceremonies, or the ritual, that we use in our lodge meetings.
